Hi, I’m Leah.

As a consultant and coach, I support non profits, businesses and entrepreneurs who are looking to increase their impact and align their communications and marketing with their core values.

My work bridges the worlds of strategic planning, communications production and business strategy. I am drawn to this work because I love it and hope that it is helping create positive change. Depending on the project, I lean on my experience in entrepreneurship and business strategy, non-traditional marketing and integrated production, mindfulness, writing, and women’s leadership.

I love a good white board session and don’t shy away from awkward silences. I dread “networking” events, am obsessed with my pet bunny, and am drawn toward a definition of success where meaningful work is a part of the equation: enough energy after a work day to go to a yoga class, a long walk by the ocean, or play in the yard.

I hold a BS (Honors) from Babson College in Business Management and put the discipline of Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® to work in both my approach and outlook. I am a founding member of the Camden International Film Festival where I worked as the Producer for many years, and then served on the Board of Directors and as the Vice Chair. I also served for 5 years on the Board of Directors for the Restorative Justice Institute of Maine.

I have appeared on Greenlight Maine as a judge and mentor, served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Women’s Business Center at CEI (“WBC”), delivered workshops for the WBC, Maine Association of Nonprofits, the Roux Institute, and Summer Study at Babson College and have created content for DownEast Magazine, Maine Women’s Magazine, NPR’s Marketplace, and Documentary Magazine.

I live in Cumberland, Maine, the homeland of the Wabanaki and Abenaki, with my partner and two stepchildren who remind me to stay awake to the beauty of life unfolding around and through us.

My Approach

I find myself consistently in awe of my clients: bold leaders bringing powerful visions to life that are personal and meaningful.

My work is to hold up a kind and true mirror, ask thoughtful questions, and listen deeply. Whether we are working on a communications strategy, updating your core messaging, in a group program, or mapping out an approach to an unexpected opportunity, I am listening for what you value, why you do your work, and what matters most to you. I am merging my experience with your experience in service of creating an updated approach that can guide you where you truly want to go.

Holistic

When communications is at its best, it lies at the intersection of all areas of a business or organization. My goal is to provide an outside perspective to help get communications and business strategy out of a siloed approach and working together.

Creating Focus and Ease

The impact of my work is almost always just as much from the process as from the outcome. This work helps clients find focus which allows them to do less and open up space for creativity and enjoyment.

Amplifying Change

I am especially passionate about working with people who are changing the status quo through the work they do and how they do it: dismantling systems of societal norms, righting our relationship with the earth, slowing down, and building community and connection.
